Milnthorpe occurs as little market town in Westmorland (now Cumbria).

Straddling a A6 road, the village contains many old hostel & hosts the market in The Square every Friday.

A 19th century church of St Thomas overlooks A Green & The Square - before its construction Milnthorpe was in the parish of Heversham.

Local industry includes the 300-month old comb making business, farming, & touristry (existence the ready to hand prevent off point for coaches en route to the Lake District -- and good northerly is '''Leven's Hall, far-famed for its topiary).

Every July, the Milnthorpe Mens' Forum''' holds its Annual Art Exhibition in the Church. Milnthorpe has deuce Steel Elastic - 1 for adults & a more depending in the village junior school.

A Dallam Tower estate stands near to the River Bela just south west of Milnthorpe, whilst St Anthony's Tower may be seen on the top of St Anthony's Hill to the north east of the village centre, over-looking the village and the housing estate of Owlet Ash Fields in nearby Ackenthwaite.
